Hmmm. I guess I missed 'week 1'... will go find it.

What defines me as a woman? I find that difficult, as I know myself to be an androgynous being, capable of holding the energies of both yin and yang quite harmoniously. If you meant, 'what defines you as a person who happens to wear a woman's body' it is still a little strange. I know myself to be a 'spiritual being' (just like all of us) having a spiritual experience... sorry. Too woo woo for you, I'll bet. ;)

My greatest accomplishments as a 'person' are: an advanced degree from Oxford University in England, a third degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, owning my own consulting business in IT for 23 years, being a green property developer who 'brings the outside in', and, most of all, having dissolved enough ego finally to appreciate all that I have been and been through and know that the light inside is what really matters.

If I could pick one color, I would pick a rainbow! ;)

1 - What defines you as a woman?

I used to think being a “woman” was the ability and privilege of conception, having children and raising those children. Years ago we lost a daughter in a house fire (along with everything else) Aquene was two years old. I felt that my womanhood and maternalness had been stolen from me and ripped away abruptly. We tried so hard (mostly me out of desperation to be a woman again) to conceive. It didn’t happen until the timing was right. It happened when I realized that being a woman was not just the ability to have children. It is a combination of my strengths, my morals, my virtues and my vices. It is my ability to love, to be honest, to share, and to create. It is the power to encourage, motivate and share with others something about myself that would encourage and strengthen them. It is the power to love my daughter & husband, unconditionally. It is the joy of, not dying, but living my life to the end.

2 - What is your greatest accomplishment as a woman that does not relate to a family member (being a mom, spouse etc)?

My greatest accomplishment is the realization of how much strength and power I have within. It is the power of knowing just who I am, why I’m here and where I’m going. It was the strength of getting through school after having lost everything – virtually homeless (after a house fire).

3 - If you could pick one color to describe you, what and why?

Definitely yellow. Yellow is pure, bright and sunny. I recently discovered my love for the color yellow. My new office is painted yellow & I can’t wait to move in! My personality is sunny and cheerful. I’m pure. My life is an open book; there is nothing in my past that I’m ashamed of. I’m loving yellow these days. It’s a great primary color.

1- What defines you as a woman?

I like to nurture and help other people. I feel that as a woman I am capable of so much more than people give me (or other woman) credit for. This past year I've realized that I have the power to make a change, to make a difference.

2 - what is your greatest accomplishment as a woman that does not relate to a family member (being a mom, spouse etc)?

That would be realizing I can be independent. I started my own business this year and I want to succeed. For the first time in my life, I traveled by myself to my Cookie Lee convention and had a great time. I went up to complete strangers and started conversations. I even had my picture taken with Cookie herself! As I learn about business, I've also learned alot about myself and that it's okay to be scared to try something new, just don't let the fear hold you back.

3 - If you could pick one color to describe you, what and why?

The color green. It's beautiful and serene but not overpowering.

Oh, wow, put on my thinking cap here, Ann!
What defines me as a woman? Words and music, love and laughter.
What is my greatest accomplishment as a woman that does not relate to a family member? Finally accepting myself for the rather odd bird that I am, rather than trying to shoehorn myself into other people's ideas of what I "should" be. Finally allowing myself to begin to think that I can "make it" as a businesswoman, on my own.
If I could pick one color to describe me, what and why? Rose, because it is rich (in the sense of vivid) and warm and inviting and basically optimistic (as in, rose-colored glasses).
