Have you ever tried using a Carpet Fresh product? They come in different scents, but most are so strong, the smell will make you gag. At least it does for me. The artificial fragrance is overwhelming.
We have a corner in our family room that the cats will pee on ever so often. (once was too much for me!) It doesn't seem to matter if the carpet has been cleaned and deodorized by a professional carpet cleaning company, they still head over to that corner.
With the warmer weather the carpet wasn'…

Unfortunately, space that we live in must be cleaned on a regular basis. That has been the necessary but pretty unglamorous job that has fallen to wives and mothers historically. Husbands and fathers have been getting into the cleaning routine in the last few years as more and more wives and mothers are working full time outside the home.
In the past, very harsh chemicals were regularly used to eradicate germs, dirt and odors. Today, younger generations are becoming more and more aware of the w…

Lemongrass, one of my favorites, originates from India and is widely used as an herb in Asian and Caribbean cooking. Lemongrass brings its tempting aroma and skin- caring properties to the spa and spa products.
Lemongrass is also used as a medicinal herb. Rich in citral, the active ingredient in lemon peel, lemongrass is said to aid in digestion, as well as relieve spasms, muscle cramps, rheumatism and headaches.
Candles,
soaps and f…

I started off my day with a headache. I hate them, they make me nauseated in addition to the pain in the head. I can't work or think straight when I have a headache.
Rather than reaching for the bottle of asprin or other chemical remedies I have a couple of natural solutions…

If you are a mom then you’ve dealt with stress at some point. The problem with stress is how to make it go away. Maybe exercise is the answer to your stress problem.
Exercise and stress are related. Exercise can reduce the amount of stress in your life. Lets take a look on how it works.
When we are under stress, the body secretes a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol has been shown to help the body store fat and not let it go. As we worry, we get bigger. Lack of sleep has the same effect. Stress…

Stress is no stranger to the average mom. Day in and day out it tries to enter our lives through busy schedules, a messy home, and screaming children. Here are a few ways that moms can reduce their stress levels fast.
Remember that commercial for Calgon bath soap? Calgon would seem to whisk women everywhere off to exotic locales. Too bad that that can’t actually happen—or can it? Light some
scented candles and climb into a nice hot…

For some of us, stress is a condition that we cannot tackle alone. If you are a mom who has tried to manage your stress alone but to no avail, it may be time to seek help from an outside source. Here are a few suggestions to help with that decision.
Stress can affect our physical body. Too much stress can lead to symptoms like hair loss, headaches, weight loss or weight gain, ulcers, and depressive disorders. All of these symptoms can be signs of conditions other than stress, but if you have be…

Into every life a little stress must fall. When the stress reaches higher than normal levels on a regular basis, your health can start to be affected. Moms may look invincible or even think they are invincible but it’s not true. Stress and good health don’t mix.
Stress is our body’s response to outside stimuli. Sure that sounds good, but it doesn’t mean very much. When you come home from a hard day at work and the sink is full of dishes, the laundry room is piled high with clothing, and the sin…

Why is it every time I am about to go on vacation planes starting falling out of the sky? Ever since 9/11 I have been terrified of flying. I was nervous before, but it got much worse after 9/11. It seems as if a month before I have to fly airplanes start having a variety of problems, such as engine malfunctions, smoke in the cabin, landing gear tires blowing out upon take-off, and much, much worse.
I also hate turbulence and tend to look at the turbulence map 24 hours before I have to fly. I wa…

Over a week ago I responded to a product request from the Editor of Neato.com, a shopping blog. Rick was looking for products for Motorcycle men. I submitted by email information on my
men's organic shower gel and sent the sample upon their request.
Last night I had an email that the featured my Men's organic shower gel on their blog! The best thing about this is there is a "StumbleUpon It" button under the feature. If ever…

The other day while checking out our Ning site, I came across Kathy's recommendation for

Since signing up, I am following Peter Shankmen on Twitter (smart guy) and I have reached out to 2 reporters and Lush and Luxe PR to possibly be included in features they are working on. I remember as a child and as a teenager being out in the sun all day long and crying all night because of sunburned skin. There just wasn't enough information on sunscreen or after sun care when I was growing up. I grew up with suntan lotion, not sunscreen!
Olive oil is excellent to use to heal burns and historically has been used this way for centuries. Extra virgin olive oil is high in vitamins and minerals too. The following is a recipe that you can make at home in a 8 oz or larger spray bot…
